The “Faisalabad 6” are 6 leaders of the Labour Qaumi Movement imprisoned since July 22, 2010, for leading a strike of 100,000 power loom workers demanding a 17% pay rise to bring wages in line with the legal minimum wage. On November 1, 2011, they were sentanced under “anti-terrorist” laws to long sentances (collectively totalling 490 years). Three of the 6 were in court on April 3 facing new charges.
